8th and 9th April
Erica Enduro / Sprint
1st Rnd Victorian Championships
Darren Lloyd travelled to Victoria last weekend to contest the 1st round of the Victorian enduro titles. Darren made up for his up & down start to the year with some blistering pace. Winning a number of special tests outright and finishing 2nd Outright behind Brad Williscroft. Heres what Darren had to say after the race.
We
were greeted to the Erica area with a couple of days rain prior to competition
and it was still hanging around on Friday when we arrived to check out the
special tests set for the next days enduro.
After checking out the special tests it had become known that this is the first event of 2006 that we have raced in the rain. Making it a whole lot more interesting as the Victorians get to train a lot more in these conditions then we do in New South Wales.
There were three special tests one was a motorcross test and there were two enduro tests, one was nice and flowing while the other was very fast and open.
“ I am very pleased to have come here for this enduro as I need all the practice I can in the wet conditions, my TM 250 was faultless throughout the enduro and I am stoked with the outcome in second position outright.”
“ John Hall made a few changes to my bike through the week and I am extremely satisfied with the way it worked, The Tullio power valve dampener was an awesome addition in the greasy conditions and made the TM very rider friendly.”
“ I was able to keep focused over the entire enduro and to win a few special tests outright and it made for a great training experience.” Said Darren.
Well done Darren and we look forward to more of these results.
Next Race for the Bel-Ray TM team is the 2nd round of the Australian Off-Road Titles at Wodonga 22/23.4.06
